  1. chapter 15 was about the 3 types of integrations and these integrations expresses how no single theory is good enough to account for the complexities of human behaviors because not every theory contains all the truth and not every counseling techniques is effective in working with different client. I like this because a practitioner of this approach combines a lot of theories together in order to find what works for the clients and themselves instead of using only one theory. and also this counseling process can help clients gain insight into the ways their beliefs and values are reflected in their behaviors.

    1. In reply to Kam, i also believe that not every theory contains the truth and not every counseling technique is effective. The reason why i feel this way is because every client is different. You can not use the same approach on one client and think that the same approach is going to be effective for the other. The world of therapy does not work that way, that's why therapists are paid to figure out whats going on with the person first and then figure out what approach or approaches they may need to use on the client. I also like how this therapy allows the client to open up their eyes alot more and to see what are their challenges and strengths.

    2. In response to kam, it may be good because the therapist is using more then one technique but at the same time none of those techniques may work out depening on how the client reactions to certain things

  2. chapter 15, talks about integrative Perspective. In book there's all types of integration like psychotherapy, theoretical, assimilation. The one reason movement toward psychotherapy integration is recognition that no single theory is comprehensive enough to account for the complexities. Multicultural l issue is a reality that cannot be ignored by practitioners if they hope meet meet needs of diverse client groups.

  3. Chapter 15, It talks about 3 different type of integrations which are Psychotherapy, Technical, and Assimilative. It also talks about "The common factor approach" it searches for common elements across different theoretical systems.I like in the book it states" The counseling process can help clients gan insight into the ways their core beliefs and values are reflected in their behavior. I agree with this statement because I feel like any one who strongly something they will make there choices off of there beliefs.

    1. In reply to Shaniece, I also agree that the counseling process can help gain insight into the clients behaviors.I think this is good for the client because it allows them to see what kind of patterns he/she have in their life, and what is causing them to become the way they are. I also believe once the client realizes and their behaviors are brought to their attention, the client will be able to make better decisions and make better choices for a healthier life.

    2. In response to Shaniece, I agree with you because I think its import that a client gains a deeper insight about their beliefs and see how that affects their behaviors. Because sometimes the client don't really see their behaviors until someone's perception of them is displayed. So along with this its important that the therapist use different theories in order to help the client.

  4. Chapter 15 talks about Integration therapy. I liked this type of therapy because this approach allows the therapist to be open in different ways to the client. When a therapist is open, it allows the client to become comfortable and want to be willing to become open as well. Another approach that the therapist can explore may cause an issue but i believe it depends on the client and this is talking about spirituality. Many people are willing to talk about their religion, and i believe this also go back to the approach of making the client comfortable and more open. Some clients may not feel comfortable with talking about this topic, especially if they are not the same religion so that's why i say it depends on the client. But i like this approach as well because this can help you find a purpose in life, as oppose to the normal therapeutic ways a therapist may use in order to help the client see this.

    1. In response to alena, I like tis type of therapy also. I agree you when you say the therapist is open I think it would be very helpful to the client as well, it may make them feel more comfortable. I also feel like with talking about religion it can either go back or good depending on the person.

    2. In response to Alena, I agree with what you said. The therapist really have to examine the client and see what topic to bring up and what not to bring up. If the therapist feel that its ok to bring up religion with the client then so be it.
